OUR COMMUNITY: GIVING BACK

Rotors believes in and supports the nonprofit community with out bias. We have supported groups from all walks of life.

Our special interest projects are:

We have done flights at no cost to: Rainbow Bridge, Lost and Found Inc., Colorado Uplift, Arc Thrift, Boys and Girls Club, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts.

HELICOPTERS CHANGE LIVES.
It is always funny when you ask helicopter pilots why they got into the industry. Most pilots have the same story: they had their first helicopter ride when they were ______ years old, and have been in love with helicopters ever since.

Throughout our 10 years in business we have seen more than one young aviator struggling with a life situation and bordering on making some bad choices. They all have the same story here, too: they back away from bad choices because flying is too important to them to risk losing it. The aivation industry drug tests extensively and a conviction or DUI/DWAI can seriously impact the process of obtaining or renewing an FAA medical certification, without which a pilot cannot fly.

This had us thinking that aviation, which is a trade-type education with degree-type pay, might be a good option for the youth-at-risk population. While Rotors has focused on a wide variety of charities and we have a love for people with developemental disabilities, our great passion is troubled and disadvantaged youth. We specialize in teens who have great talent but will never find a 2 or 4 year traditional college degree to their liking. Kids who are smart and capable, but for whom school has never been a positive experience. When you can take a young adult for a helicopter flight and show them that the ability to pilot an aircraft is well with in their reach, it opens a door to a future they never dreamed possible. Kids in this demographic have one common deficiency: they have a tremendous lack of hope. Aviation can change that. You can help us change lives. Call for more information.

A MESSAGE FROM ROTOR'S CFI CAYCE BATTERSON ABOUT COPTERS FOR A CAUSE:

I have started a non-profit organization called Copters for a Cause. We have had great success so far but we need your help! We are in the running for $50.000 from Pepsi this month through the Pepsi Refresh Project.

The grant is based solely on votes from people like yourselves. We would greatly appreciate it if you took the time to go to www.refresheverything.com and serch Copters for a Cause. You can vote for 10 different ideas a day. You can also text 101548 to Pepsi at 73774. If you can do both as often as possible we would greatly appreciate it.

Copters for a Cause is a chance for everyone involved to give and gain at the same time. By providing helicopter rides at any type of out door event, such as Race for the Cure, or Memory Walk, we can allow all different types of charitable organizations to not only entice people to come out and show support, but also make close to $400/an hour and that's with only one helicopter! The helicopters can generate this type of money by giving short "hop-rides" at large events. The helicopters we will use have the ability to carry three people. We can charge $75/seat for approximately a 6-10 minute ride, $25 of each seat goes directly to the charity involved, and thats only if the helicopter time is not donated! The pilots and ground crew will donate their time to gain valuable flight time, and the public will have the chance to not only give back but also get something for their donation that few people ever get to experience.
