Private Pilot Fixed Wing Requirements:

40 hrs total of flight instruction and solo flight time

• 20 hr of which is flight instruction
  • 3 hr of cross-country
  • 3 hr of night flights, including
    • 1 cross-country at night over 100nm total distance
    • 10 takeoffs and landing to a full stop at an airport
  • 3 hr of instrument flight training
  • 3 hr of flight training within 60 days prior to the check ride
• 10 hr of solo flight time, including at least
  • 5 hr of cross-country flights
  • 1 solo cross-country flight of at least 150nm total distance, with full stop landings at a minimum of 3 airports, and one leg having a straight distance of at least 50 nm.
